What does 'No fixed upper limit of number of objects' mean in April 2018 releaseArticle Number: 000051490 | Last Modified: 2019/01/17
There is a new setting per layer to decide how many objects to show. This can be controlled by the person creating the map. So if they have more values they can increase this limit, but need to be prepared that performance might get worse if you put the limit very high.
Apparently there is a hard limit, the wording should say that “Higher fixed upper limit of number of objects’
Point layer: max 50 000 objects
Area layer: max 10 000 objects
Line layer: max 20 000 objects
The limitation is not all a bad thing, it’s better to use a drill down with hirerarchy or a bin layer to moderate the data.
