In Qlik Sense June 2018 release, there may be a situation where the Scheduler service stops immediately after starting it. This may also happen after a certain Windows update.
In such a situation please check the version of the .net framework and make sure that it is updated to version 4.7 or higher.
Open a command window (click start, enter 'cmd').
Enter this on the command line: c:\wmic product get description | findstr /C:.NET
Verify the output.Environment
- Qlik Sense Enterprise - version June 2018
1. Qlik Sense was upgraded from older version 3.2.x to June 2018 while maintaining .net version 4.0
2. Windows update took place and some KB files were installed that made it necessary for .net version 4.7 to be installed.
3. Once .net version 4.7 was installed the scheduler service worked straight away after reboot.
Windows update on top of .net version 4.0 causes issue with Qlik Sense June 2018, to keep everything up to date upgrade .net to version 4.7 and then do all the windows updates.
Stop Qlik Sense services
before updating .Net 4.7.
Update the server to .net 4.7 via windows updates or inquire with windows via query search (i.e. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net47
Reboot the operating system.
