Error: The preview request is taking more than 10 minutes.
If the report contains a significant volume of data, the report may need to take the template editor more than 10 minutes to render, the preview will time out with the error. In this case a report publish task is needed to generate the report.
- Create a report filter to mitigate the amount of data being captured in the preview.
- For example, create a filter that captures data for today day, month and year. Add that new filter to the report as a report filter. If the report runs normally you can remove the 'preview' test filter
- This solution limits the data in the report preview which in turn allows it to preview relatively quickly. This ensures that there are no issues in running the report and the report than can be run successfully as a task but it may take more that 10 minutes to complete since the data in the report may be significantly larger without the preview report filter.
