AJax: Exporting QlikView document to Excel in combination with "Send as Attachment" results in wrong format (*.aspx)

In Ajax, when using Send to Excel, the exported object may not be attached in the correct format if using Send as Attachment in Excel. Instead you may experience the object being attached in an email in the format .aspx, when using Send as Attachment in Excel.
This applies when using Internet Explorer, using other browsers, such as Chrome the correct file will be attached.

Example

1. Open a *.qvw file using AJAX
2. Click "Send to Excel" option
3 When asked to save or open, click open (but don't save)
4. From the opened object, click File >> Save & Send
5. Select Send Using Email >> Send as Attachment

Since the Excel document is not saved locally when using Internet Explorer, the attached file will be an URL to the *.aspx file on the server, which generated the Excel spread sheet.

Other browsers, such as Chrome, will invoke the Save option, making sure the file is saved locally before Excel is opened.
When using for example QlikView IE Plugin the Excel file will be saved temporarily on the client  and later attached when using Send as Attachment in Excel

When using Send as Attachment in Excel, make sure to save the document in Excel before attaching it.
Otherwise, unsaved exported objects will be attached in a wrong format e.g. *.aspx format by default.
