When starting the application you get an error stating that there is a new version available and the application then quits. The following is displayed:
There is a new version available for download. Please take this opportunity to use the most recent version.
You can contact us at http://www.qlik.com/services/support if this does not help.
Cause:
It is no longer possible to run old Qlik Web Connectors (QWC) versions of the product.
Resolution:
Note: This was valid at the time of writing of this article and only applies to version 2.1. The same procedure may be attempted with newer versions.
- Use QWC version 2.2 to license the product, using the valid license key.
- Locate and copy file c:\<QWC 2.2 Directory>\App_Data\LicenceSettings.xml
- Place file in 2. above under c:\<QWC 2.1 Directory>\App_Data\LicenceSettings.xml
- QWC version 2.1 is should now be licensed and working.
