Can the Qlik NPrinting repository database be installed on a separate PostgreSQL instance, such as Amazon RDS PostgreSQL or can traffic to the PostgreSQL database be encrypted?
Qlik NPrinting does not allow for its repository to be hosted on a remote database and does not at present support encrypted connections to its repository database.
Qlik NPrinting server is installed as a single entity, which cannot have components distributed to separate servers, with the only exception being the engine service. In addition, the Qlik NPrinting database is configured to accept connections on the loopback interface only as there is no need for access from external machines (i.e. Qlik NPrinting engines are never connected to the Qlik NPrinting Postgre database.
