These instructions will walk you through the upgrade process step-by-step and include best practices and tips and tricks to provide a comprehensive guide.
Checklist before performing a Qlik Sense upgrade:
- Read the release notes and review the system requirements for the Qlik Sense version you intend to upgrade to.
- Create an upgrade plan including testing and maintenance windows
- Draw up a rollback plan in case of unexpected results
- Test! Prior to any upgrade, validate the new version in a test environment mirroring the production environment
- Validate Qlik Sense Apps and their visualizations: Do they still behave as expected?
- Tasks: Do Apps reload and build as expected?
- APIs: Are API calls still functioning as expected?
- Extensions: Verify installed extensions
- Customizations: Validate that customizations such as third party authentication modules work as expected.
