Description:

By default, Since Feb 2018 SR 1 release of NPrinting, task execution log history are retained for 30 days, then they will be incrementally deleted. (there was no logging limitation prior to February 2018 SR 1 release of NPrinting.)

Environment:

  • February 2020 and newer versions only

Resolution:

To extend logging default logging period:

  • Stop the NP scheduler service
  • add the following parameter into the scheduler.config in the position you prefer:
<!-- Days that an execution must be kept in database, including logs. Default is 30 days -->
<add key="executions-dtk" value="30" />
  • Update value="30" to the preferred number of days you wish to extend logging.
ie: "31" will give you an additional day of logging.
  • Start the Qlik NPrinting Scheduler service

NOTE: Any changes you make to NPrinting Config files are not saved during an upgrade from one version of NPrinting to another.
Ensure to document this change as it must be manually updated after any upgrade or re-installation of NPrinting
