A standalone Qliksense PostgreSQL DB will be under maintenance mode for a short while. Do Qlik Sense services have ability to reconnect to the DB or will a restart be necessary?
Environment:
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows , all versions
Cause:
When running the Database Service that comes with Qlik Sense, we have a dependency on it for all the other services.
While we cannot have the same dependency on standalone databases, we still don't recommend running the other services with PostgreSQL down.
In addition to that, once the database is down, there is a 90 seconds timeout for the QRS. You can increase that time out, but we wouldn't recommend it for this specific scenario.
So, in short, you should shut down Qlik Sense, when taking down the database.
