Upgrading Qlik Sense lead to a dead end in a specific configuration - Failed to Upgrade Qlik Sense

If you try to upgrade Qlik Sense and the installation is loading forever you should check the pg hab file :

C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Repository\PostgreSQL\9.6\pg_hba.conf

By default it's like that:

host all all X.X.X.X/32 md5

But if you put it with trust :

host all all X.X.X.X/32 trust

Then, if you try to upgrade Qlik Sense, it will not ask for the PostgreSql password (normal as we put "trust") and then it will forever stay in the upgrading repository database step.

Cause

There is currently a Jira (QLIK-95977) raised to the R&D for this defect

Resolution

To solve the issue you have to change to:
host all all X.X.X.X/32 md5
before upgrade, then upgrade and after that, change to:
host all all X.X.X.X/32 trust
