Qlik NPrinting September 2019 Excel Reports with Pivot Table Columns Preview Data Source is Not Supported

Description:

In Qlik NPrinting Designer when previewing an Excel report with Pivot Table columns an error appears that the data source is not supported.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Add a Straight Table to a Qlik Sense App
2. Create the App Connection in Qlik NPrinting
3. Create an Excel Report
4. Click Edit Template to Launch Qlik NPrinting Designer
5. Follow the Help Documentation: Creating Pivot Table Using Excel Table Columns
6. After the Step "Summarize with Pivot Table in the tools group"
7. Enable the "Add this Data to Data Model" checkbox 
8. Click OK
9. Preview Report

• All supported versions of NPrinting

Resolution:

• Unfortunately that specific Microsoft Excel functionality that is related to the creation of Data Models in a Excel Workbook and Linked tables is not supported.
