Qlik Sense Server November 2018 installation or upgrade fails with error AUTHORIZATION "qliksenserepository"": ERROR: schema "precedents_service" already existsArticle Number: 000075708 | Last Modified: 2019/09/13
A workaround for this error is to rename the precedents_service schema in the PostgreSQL database prior to performing the installation/upgrade.

Rename the precedents_service schema (i.e. precedents_schema_old) prior to performing the installation/upgrade.
This will allow for the creation of the schema. In multi-node environments it is suggested to rename the schema prior to each rim node installation/upgrade.
To rename the schema, perform the following steps:
- Log on to the server running the PostgreSQL server
- Use pgAdmin to access the database (https://support.qlik.com/articles/000042413)
- Expand the SenseServices database so that Schemas is displayed and then expand Schemas so that the precedents_service schema is displayed
- Right-click the precedents_service and choose Properties
- Rename the precedents_service and click Save (i.e. precedents_service_old)
- Run the Qlik Sense server installer on the Rim node
