Qlik GeoAnalytics maximum number of plotted points

In Qlik GeoAnalytics, there is no upper limit in rendering a large number of plotted points on a map, the extension will continue to plot the data points.

However more than 50K points are not practical as it take a lot of time transmitting the data from the Qlik server and the service may time out.
 

For best practices however, it is recommended to keep the point layers below 10K points and area layers below 5K areas at the same time.

Qlik GeoAnalytics offers a whole suite of tools for moderating the information density:
 

• Clustering, group points together and show center points

• Spatial Index, to enable select by visible for points and areas (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqprqmVfQhQ)
• Dissolve, to group areas together
• Simplify to reduce the number of breakpoints in areas.
• Drill down, to switch between layers of different layers.
