KPI Link to Sheet Clears Filter Current Selection

Issue was reporting involving an exiting app that was upgraded to version Feb 2019. The app had a KPI link set up to open a new sheet via Appearance > Presentation > Link to sheet = On and Open in a new tab = On. When the kpi link was clicked twice to go the new sheet, the current filters were not carried over to the displayed sheet.

Root cause was not found, however there were 2 workarounds to resolve the issue.

This issue could not be reproduced in a very simple app with some inline loaded data, 2 sheets and a KPI link from 1 sheet to another. The issue was somehow tied to the specific configuration of the app. The root cause of this behavior was not found.

There were two workarounds for this issue. either one was sufficient to resolve the issue with the filter selections being lost. 
1. Set the KPI link to open in the same tab by disabling the Open in a new tab setting.

2. Disable the link to sheet on the KPI and add a new navigation button from the navigation bundle to link to the other sheet. This is set up under  Custom objects > Qlik Dashboard bundle > Button for navigation. In the same app where the filters w
