'Unexpected exception occured' pop-up when selecting fast change option in 12.3

 'Unexpected exception occured' pop-up when selecting fast change option in 12.30. The error only occurs if the QixPerformanceLogVerbosity is equal to 4 or 5 in the settings.ini file of the QlikView Server.

Environment:

• QlikView 12.30

 

Remove QixPerformanceLogVerbosity line or change the value to 0,1,2,3 from the setting.ini on the QlikView Server. If equal to 4 or 5 it will cause the issue.
Bug QV-17145 was raise, but it won't be fixed as is not recommended to use high verbosity (4 or 5) in the QIX performance logs other than for short debug session.

Plus, enabling the QIX performance logging it produces a heavy logging, especially when the setting is 4 or 5, so these values are just intended to do complex troubleshooting for a short time interval, otherwise should be set to a lower value or disabled.

It is also important to specify the appropriate threshold settings when using the QIX performance logging, as for example:

WarningProcessTimeMs=5000

ErrorProcessTimeMs=10000

WarningPeakMemory=524288000

ErrorPeakMemory=2097152000

This has been also tested in 12.40 IR and could not be reproduced.
