Find the biggest source of logentries in Qlogs

If you have a large Qlogs DB, and you do not know which service or entry is filling it up, you can run the query attached to find the volume drivers in Qlogs.

Open PgAdmin
select the Qlogs DB and run the following script:

 

SELECT *

FROM (

   SELECT

       d.process_host

       ,d.process_name

       ,d.entry_level

       ,COUNT(id) AS message_volume

   FROM (

       SELECT

           id

           ,process_host

           ,process_name

           ,entry_level

       FROM public.log_entries

       UNION ALL

       SELECT

           id

           ,process_host

           ,process_name

           ,entry_level

       FROM public.archive_entries

   ) AS d

   GROUP BY d.process_host, d.process_name, d.entry_level

) AS d

ORDER BY d.message_volume DESC;

After this you will get a detailed list of how many entries by volume the different sense services per machine and log level pushed inside the Qlogs DB.

Qlik Sense June 2018 and above
 

If you have identified the source
e.g. Qlikserver1 / Repository/ DEBUG
you can set the debug logging to INFO logging, and you will get less entries.
