Join UsWhen a new PostgreSQL connection (Qlik ODBC Connector package) is created, the "Materialized Views" are not available in the Tables list. Regular views are being show correctly.
This is a known limitation of Qlik ODBC Connector package. The behavior was investigated before in bug QLIK-86063, which was closed as Working as Designed. Explanation from R&D is as follows:
Postgres itself does not consider materialized views as traditional views and considers that they are outside the scope of the SQL standard. For your reference - https://www.postgresql.org/message-id/flat/20141011004406.GQ28859@tamriel.snowman.net#20141011004406.GQ28859@tamriel.snowman.net
Until the database provider changes this, we don't have a way to address this request.
R&D has also opened a ticket to the driver provider of Qlik ODBC Connector package (Simba) for their consideration to support materialized views, which is still in progress. Therefore, as of the latest version (Qlik Sense February 2019, Qlik ODBC Connector package 5.181.), materialized views of PostgreSQL database are not yet supported.
A work-around solution is to use PostgreSQL ODBC driver (https://www.postgresql.org/ftp/odbc/versions/) with a generic ODBC connection instead of Qlik ODBC Connector package.
