Join UsWhen configuring UDC of a Generic LDAP type there is a Display name attribute with the default value of name. If this attribute is changed to displayName, givenName, distinguishedName, userPrincipalName etc., it will result in groups that that user belongs to NOT being synced IF they do not have the same attribute set on the AD side.
This is a result of value set in QMC being applied to other objects. Sense will look for the displayName attribute for both user and groups, and if not present on the AD side for a group, this group will not be synced.
This can be worked-around by making sure selected attribute is set for both user and group, in example displayName.
However, some attributes, like in this case givenName, are not available for a group object on the AD side, so when set in QMC, groups will not be synced.
