QlikView: The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm' Services are offline or disconnected in the Management Console

The QlikView Management Console shows a service or multiple services as disconnected.
Navigating in the management console prints an error on screen.
The QlikView Server statistics may not be displaying correctly. 

The following error is printed on screen and in the QlikView Management Service log files:

Last exception (for http://XXX:4730/SERVICE/Service): ANY did not respond to request. 
Last exception (for http://XXX:4730/SERVICE/Service): The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'. The authentication header received from the server was 'NTLM'.

Environment:

Verify if all services are set up to use the correct service communication.

• Possible methods are the Windows QlikView Administrators Group or Certificate trust.
• See the official Qlik Online Help on how to configure Certificate Trust.

Ensure the service URL for the service is using http protocol, not https, and that the server name is not a fully qualified name.

• In the Management Console navigate to System > Setup > SERVICE > SERVICE@ServerName > General 
• Example: http://qlikserver1:4730/DSC/Service vs https://qlikserver1:4730/DSC/Service

Verify if a Login name and password have been configured in the individual service settings. If so, remove it.

• In the Management Console navigate to System > Setup > SERVICE > SERVICE@ServerName > Login
