NPrinting Table object field tags display random values and/or appear to be pointing to wrong table field values from the QlikView app when generating report or report preview.
Environment:
- Qlik NPrinting 16 all versions
- Qlik NPrinting 17 and newer
- QlikView 12.20 and newer
! This is currently being investigated as a possible defect. Information provided here is given as is at the time of documenting. For up to date information contact support at support.qlik.com with the ID OP-8638 for reference. Fixed Version(s):
- Qlik NPrinting November 2019
Workaround(s)
1. Disable conditionals as they are not supported. See
Nprinting: Unsupported QlikView Document items, System Configurations and other limitations
- Remove all conditionals from the straight table object in the qvw. This is, under the Dimensions, Expressions, and Presentation tabs.
- Under the respective project Source, click Refresh Object list, save and close, and save the project file.
- Open the report template, right-click the updated straight table object > Update. (is issue persists, try removing and re-adding instead)
- Preview or run the report.
2. It is possible that the issue may be caused by a separate QlikView issue (see
Conditional dimension out of the list order on the table). It may potentially be worked around if found that the order of the Qlikview table object columns do not match the order displayed under the object's (right-click) Properties > Presentation tab, this will cause the issue described here. In order to correct the issue drag the column to the current position listed under the Presentation tab of the table objects properties. It is currently unknown what may be causing the column position to not be updated in the Presentation tab. Recreating the table should resolve the issue.
For 2 above, it is still unknown if more work will be needed in NPrinting (via Defect reported under Incorrect column order in Qlik NPrinting with QlikView 12.30 and QlikView 12.40) in order to fully resolve the issue, in which case previous versions of NPrinting would not support QlikView 12.30 and higher.
