The QlikView Management Service fails to start.
Issue 1: The Management Service log file reads:
Error Failed to initialize database
Information QlikView Management Service Initialization failed, service stopped. Reason: Failed to initialize repository
Issue 2: Alternatively it may log:
No such file: Searched E:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service\QMC\default.htm
Verify that the QVPR is available under the configured location.
In the same log file, locate a startup sequence that worked and identify the storage location with the following lines:
Information DB Provider=Xml
Information DB BaseDir=
Information DB DataBaseName=QVPR
If BaseDir is empty, the QVPR is stored in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR
If a value is configured, then the location was changed.
Restore as needed.
Verify that the Management Service program files have not been deleted.
These files are stored in %Program Files%\QlikView\Management Service
Repair the installation or restore the drive as needed.
