Calculated conditions on map layers not working if legend is disabled

In a native map object, if the legend is disabled and one or more layers have calculated condition to not display it / them, then the entire object is not visible, instead of what the calculated condition should permit to be displayed.

This issue is resolved and is listed in the Release Notes for Qlik Sense November 2018 Patch 2 and also in Qlik Sense February 2019. See the relevant Release Notes for details on item QLIK-91071 .

Note: The fix will instead display the message, from a failing calculation condition, in the legend even if the legend is toggled off. This is because the calculation condition message should not be dependant on legend settings and should be more consistent with other Sense charts. 


Workaround: Enable the legend

Go to Edit > Map > Appearance > Legend and toggle 'Show legend' on
