Specifically from the help page these instructions were followed:
Installing the connectors
The Qlik SAP Connectors installation package (QlikSAP_x64Setup.exe) includes all the SAP Connectors and they are all installed. The installation package also includes the transports and other required files that are copied to the connector file structure in Windows.
Do the following:
If UAC is enabled, the User Account Control dialog is displayed.
Click Yes to start the installation.
Download the QlikSAP_x64Setup.exe file from the Qlik download site.The Qlik connectors are obtained from www.qlik.com. Log on with a registered customer or partner account, select Services > Customer Downloads and then select the Connector tab.
Double-click the QlikSAP_x64Setup.exe.
The Qlik Connectors installation wizard starts.
Select I agree… and then click Install.
If User Account Control (UAC) is disabled, the installation starts.
- When the installation has completed, click Close.
Restart the Qlik Sense Engine Service if the installation is on a Qlik Sense system.
The SAP Connector is not available in Qlik Sense until the engine is restarted.
On Step 6, instead of restarting the Qlik Sense Engine Service, Restart all services in the following manner:
Stop the Qlik Sense Repository Database Service, then the Qlik Sense Dispatcher Service.
Start the Qlik Sense Repository Database Service, the Qlik Sense Repository Service, the Qlik Sense Dispatcher Service.
Wait 30 Seconds, then start the remaining Qlik Sense Services - Engine, Printing, Proxy, and Scheduler.
The SAP Connector will now be visible in the Enterprise HUB.
