Here are some options to resolve the problem. The first option usually works.
1. Open the template as an Office file and hide it. Save and close the template. re-open the Office template and un-hide it. save an close again. Check if this resolves the problem.
2. Copy the Office template on another Office file and use the copy in the report.
3. Be sure that there are not macros in the template.
4. Another option is to re-create the report from scratch.
