When using the calendar object with the NOW() function (example: min value= Now()-1000 and max value=Now()+1000) it behaves differently/ not consistently in the QlikView Access Point and QlikView Desktop.
In the Access Point when you try to select a different date, it is not possible, as the date jumps back to the original value. In QlikView Desktop you can select any date value without any errors.
Environments:
- QlikView 11.20 and higher
This is a known (and intentional) limitation with the now() function when used in a front-end object in a client-server environment. The continuous polling every second (i.e. 86 400 times per day) had a very high (negative) impact on stability, performance and usability in the client server environment. As a consequence, this dynamic option was permanently removed in QV7.52 and the today() function is recommended instead.
Bug ID:
Working as designed. The today() function is recommended instead.
