Bug: Using SaveDocumentMetaData in QMS API will purge quarantine on all allocated Document CALs

Using SaveDocumentMetaData in QMS API to remove CAL allocations from a user document, regardless if user changes something in the MetaData object (that he is getting with the call GetDocumentMetaData), when user saves the metadata – all quarantined CAL allocations on the user document gets reset.

So it means that the user cannot do anything with the metadata without that happening, which is very strange – since the .QuarantinedUntil should be a read-only property.

 

Qmc is placing the Cal in Licensing.RemovedAssignedCALs if Quarantineuntil is set, and removing it from AssignedCALs .

If its in AssignedCALs the QMS backend will treat it as being assigned an therefore "revives" it

This is a bug with ID QV-15267 and the fix should be targeted for 12.30 SR1

might be to move any entry having Quarantineuntil set from assigned cal to removedassignedcal
