A company may be monitoring QlikView files for updates and changes as a security measure.
An event is triggered in their systems because the "LastLefUpdateAttemptDate" value in settings.ini (C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer) is updated.
What triggers this? (other than updating the license)
QlikView Server 11.20, 12.10, 12.20
We are checking the LEF is the latest available from our LEF servers.
The QlikView Server service is responsible for this by checking the LEF (License Enabler File) is correct and the latest from our LEF servers.
If the maintenance date in the LEF has passed, the QVS service will reach out every day to try to get a new LEF from our LEF server.
Before the maintenance date is reached it will contact the server once a month.
You should therefore expect to see the value for LastLefUpdateAttemptDate in the settings.ini being updated during these times.
