SharePoint list reload fails with web file connections in Qlikview November SR4 server release

In Qlikview November 2017, SR4 server release, reload of SharePoint list fails whereas the same dashboard file reload execution is successful in Desktop version. Webfile url connection to SharePoint list is used and SharePoint server version is 2013.

Steps to reproduce:-

1. Create a list in SharePoint 2013
2. In Qlikview Desktop, create a webfile connection to SharePoint list
3. Clicking on Next in Webfile connection, in the "File Wizard: Type" window, under "Character set", select "Western European"
4. Load script is appended with some special characters as below, 
   LOAD F1,
   [Title  ],
   [Name  ],
   [Age  ],
   [Gender  ],
   [App Created By  ]
   FROM
   http://qlikserver:8080/sites/mynewtest/Lists/mynewlist/AllItems.aspx
   (html, codepage is 1252, embedded labels, table is @1);
5. Reload of this script works fine in Desktop but fails in server version.

We have an old bug with similar issue where following suggestions were made and that worked perfectly in Qlikview version 12.10.0.0 as below,

Add the following lines to the [ C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView\settings.ini ] file

• WebFileUserAgent="curl/7.51.0"
• WebFileUnrestrictedAuth = 1

However, these settings do not work and customer tried another workaround as suggested in earlier version to replace QVB.exe file with a previous working version. This worked but looking at the big difference between file sizes of the new upgraded November 2017 QVB.exe file (88,498KB) and the working QVB.exe prior to upgrade (51,510KB), they are concerned of any other issues/problems arising due to using an older version of the QVB.exe.

Applying below changes to the Settings.ini file in following location and restarting the Qlikview server services fixed this issue,

  c:\windows\system32\config\systemProfile\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikViewBatch\Settings.ini
