The following error is encountered:
"The system could not log you on due to the following error:
The RPC server is unavailable"
Remote Desktop connection to remote windows server
The server will not respond when critical Windows Services are not starting or are disabled.
- Enable all Windows server computer RPC services on the remote desktop server computer (your network systems administrator will need to do this if you do not have terminal services access to the server)
- Ensure that you are a member of remote desktop users group in order to have access to the remote desktop server
- Check with your network administrator to ensure that your network or computer firewalls are not blocking connectivity between your computer and the remote desktop computer
NOTE: This is NOT a Qlik Product Issue. If any Microsoft Windows services fail to start even if they are enabled, then this could mean the entire system may be corrupted. Reinstalling the windows operating system may be the only solution if services set to automatic fail to start up.
