Qlikview Server Event Logs Contain the Warning/Error that the engine is about to expire or has expired

Starting from July 30, 2018, warning and errors about engine expiration are logged Qlikview Event logs. This article explains its content.

500  Warning  ABOUT TO EXPIRE: This engine is about to expire. Please upgrade to a newer version! Expiry date: 2018/08/30

After August 30, this became an error:

 300 Error EXPIRED: This engine has expired! Please upgrade to a newer version! Expiry date: 2018/08/30

Environments

• Qlikview 12.20, up to and including SR6

Fix:
This messages were triggered in error, and will not affect the running of the Service in any way. 
It has been logged as a product defect with ID QV-14885 and has been fixed in QlikView November 2017 SR7 (12.20.20800)

Workaround:
Disregard this error message.
