End users do not have advanced information on how to use the Qlik Text Search function that is available for each field in flat tables. And example of the question we are receiving is: How do I use search on field to find records that contain the word 'IPad' but not the word 'Case'. We seek an advanced guide (specific to Qlik Sense) that users can reference when exploring the data. This should cover all mechanisms (with examples) that can be used in the search field including:
- Normal search
- Wildcard search
- Numeric search
- Expression search
- Fuzzy search
- Compound search
Specifically using your example to search on field to find records that contain the word 'IPad' but not the word 'Case' you would use:
+Ipad -Case
