Uninstalling Qlik Sense February Patch 1 fails with error: Validation of \QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\gbq-square.png failed: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\xxx.png

When removing the Qlik Sense February Patch 1 following Error(s) is/are thrown in the Uninstaller log:

Validation of \QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\gbq-square.png failed: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\gbq-square.png'.

Validation of \QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\presto-square.png failed: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\presto-square.png'.

Validation of \QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\presto-square.png failed: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage\web\XXXXXXXX.png

One or more of the files affected by the patch could not be changed.

Environments:

• Qlik Sense February 2018 and up
• Qlik ODBC Connector Package from Qlik Sense February 2018 and up

 

The reason is that the ODBC Connector package had to be removed due to the problem with eternal loading of Connectors. Then when upgrading the Qlik Sense Installer asked to remove the patch. While uninstalling this files appear to be missing.

Qlik Sense February Patch 1 added additional functionality to the ODBC Connector Pacakage and those new images were introduced (as thumbnails for Data Connections), however the Connector Package had to be removed due to issues with ever loading Data Connections. The solution is to copy the ODBC Connector Package from QS Febraury Patch 1 if previously removed and then uninstall or simply create dummy files with the names listed in the uninstaller log.
