Connection to Essbase Database using the Oracle Essbase Connector fails with error:
"Error getting data sources. The 'link' start tag on line 19 position 4 does not match the end tag of 'head'. Line 21, position 4"
"Error getting data sources. Server is not valid or empty"
"Error getting data sources. The underlying connection was closed. The Connection was closed unexpectedly"

Environments:

Qlik Sense ODBC Connector Pacakage - all versions
Qlik Essbase Connector - all versions

Cause

Network configuration on the deployment site.

Resolution

This issue is not a Qlik Sense problem. The problem lies in the Network setup. Check with the Network administrator if the ports are open for communication, is there a load balancer correctly set up and if firewall is correctly set up.
