Qlikview User unable to log in to AccessPoint

User is attempting to log on to the QlikView AccessPoint, but is being prompted for username and password again.  Authentication fails. 

The QlikView WebServer / IIS logs read:

Information    Request received [GET]: http://servername/qlikview/FormLogin.htm 
Information    Request received [POST]: http:// servername /QvAJAXZfc/Authenticate.aspx?back=%2Fqlikview%2FFormLogin.htm 
Information    Login: DOMAIN\User   failed.
Error    Request failed: This operation cannot be performed after the response has been submitted.

Location of log for QlikView WebServer: C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\WebServer\Log
Location of log for QlikView with IIS support: C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1


Reviewing the Windows Event Security logs reads the following for the user:
 

Failure Information:
Failure Reason: Unknown user name or bad password.



Environment:

QlikView , any version
Microsoft Windows Active Directory

 

Resolution:


Review the Windows Microsoft Active Directory log files as well.  QlikView is not carrying out authentication, but relies on Windows to do so. The user ID or password are either wrong, or the user otherwise lacks logon permissions.
