Qlik Sense Application causes Web Browser or the Qlik Sense Desktop Browser to hang or crash when opening Script Editor

Qlik Sense Application crashes or causes the Script Editor to hang or crash in the Web Browser. The problem happens in the Qlik Sense Desktop as well.

Resolution
Currently Qlik Sense Engine has a limitation with IF statement syntax and the BNF parser. Nested IF statements happen to overload the browser memory and crash it. The approximate nested level before the browser crash is 10-11 nested IFs but it can vary depending on the available memory at that time, it might go down to 5 nested IFs before crash.
As a workaround for this issue, you can add a debug flag to the app url : `debug\dle_safe_mode`
This flag will disable the syntax highlighting completely and render the script as black text and will prevent the browser from crashing.
For Qlik Sense Desktop you can open Qlik Sense Desktop in the browser through URL localhost:4848.
