Qlik Sense - No Physical Log files are generated

The Centralized logging database is configured and used, however there are no physical log files available on the system even though by default, they should still be generated.

Environment:

Even though you are using a centralized logging database, physical log files are still also produced by default.
However  "Logging to file" may have been disabled by a system admin if they don't wish have log files as well as the database.
* Please note Qlik support does not advise disabling logging to file as troubleshooting of errors in the system can be impeded.

Locate the centralized logging.config file and check if LoggingToFileEnabled is set to false, if so set to true and re-save the file.

C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\QlikCentralizedLogging.config

  <add key="LoggingToFileEnabled" value="True" />

The physical log files should now be generated as before.

If you cannot locate a QlikCentralizedLogging.config, then Centralized Logging is not configured. No log files being created in this case would indicate that the services are either not starting correctly or that the service account does not have the correct permissions.
