can't add accdb files into qlikview when office 2016 is installed.

In a standardinstallation of Microsoft Office there is no driver for ODBC for accdb files installed.

To support thoose files you need to install the MS Access Database Engine 2016.

Environment:
QV Desktop all versions

Office 2016 tested

Office 2016 does not install the ODBC drivers for accdb files per automatic.

in case you get an error in the install saying that the "Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component 64-bit Registration prevents Office 32-bit installation" then follow the steps described in the article below


to uninstall Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component 64-bit/32bit Registration, please try the steps below:

1. Press Win + R to open the Run window, type “installer” and click Enter to open the folder in File Explorer.
2. Add the column “Subject”. Right click the column headers, then click More and select Subject
3. Sort on the Subject column and scroll down until you locate the name “Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component 64-bit Registration”.
4. Right click the MSI file and choose uninstall.
5. scroll down until you locate the name “Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component  Registration” - 32 bit
6. Right click the MSI file and choose uninstall.
