Error: All Qlik Sense Engines are reachable from the Qlik NPrinting Engine computers
A verification error is generated when attempting to connect from Qlik NPrinting to Qlik Sense.
An error may be displayed:
Valid Sense Engine senseserver is not reachable on port 4747
Resolution
Verify the setup as per: Verify connection errors when setting up a connection to Qlik Sense apps
A common cause would be port 4242 or port 4747 being blocked for the proxy node used to perform the authentication. You can verify if the port is available using telnet. For more information about required ports, see Ports
The issue may also be caused by DNS or general network issues.
How to verify:
- Open a Windows Command prompt
- Run the command
telnet yourservernamehere.com 4242 - If the response is:
Connecting to yourservernamehere.com ..Could not open connection to host, on port 4242: Connection failed
then the port is blocked or DNS records for the name of the machine are not correct.
Note: If you have multiple virtual proxies in use, you must ensure that port 4242 for the proxy server or virtual proxy server address is open for the virtual proxy address that is performing authentication.
Open the Qlik Sense QMC and check your virtual proxy list to determine which is used for Authentication purposes.
