If the Allow admin using name and password checkbox is not enabled when configuring an additional QVS resource in QMC > System > Setup > QlikView Servers, a prompt will be returned stating that Allow admin using name and password is required.
If this setting cannot be enabled through the QMC graphic user interface, instead, it can be added in the QlikView settings file, Settings.ini, which is located in the directory C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\. Add AllowAlternateAdmin=1 in the Settings 7 section.
