AccessPoint takes a long time to list available Documents, and "Welcome" message is showing domain\username instead of username / friendly name

When opening Accesspoint, it takes a long time (15+ seconds) to list all the available documents. Also, in upper-right corner instead of displaying "Welcome Friendly Name!" it is displaying the domain path, i.e. "Welcome SomeDomain\SomeUserame!"

Many AD Resources / LDAP Connections (20 or so)
High number of Active Directory resources / LDAP connections. During login, the Directory Service Connector will scan through each AD resource so it would be expected that as the number of AD resources increases then the amount of delay during login would increase as well.
Manually setting the Welcome Message functions as a workaround for this issue because this bypasses the process of scanning all the AD resources to attempt to find the display/friendly name for the user.
This is working as designed, according to R&D, if there are a high number of Active Directory resources / LDAP connections. There are two possible solutions to address this behavior:
Short term / Workaround: Manually set the welcome message. Do this in Accesspoint by clicking "Favorites & Profile" -> Profile -> edit "Refer to me as: " and set it to some value.
Longer Term: Consolidate Active Directory (AD) resources (QMC > System > Setup > DSC Cluster > Active Directory > General > Directory Service > Path) .
