Rolling back from 12.x to 11.20 is not a straight forward proceedure, and requires careful planning. In addition, with EOL of 11.20 passed, we do not recommend it. See
Extended Support for End of Life Products: QlikView 11.20 and Qlik NPrinting 16
Note at first:
A simple rolleback (uninstall new version, re-install old version) is not supported, and will cause issues with the Qlik environment that Qlik Support cannot resolve easily.
We always recommend getting in touch with a Qlik Consultant or Qlik Partner to plan and execute upgrades and also potential rollbacks.
Four things need to be considered when planning a step back between 12.x and 11.20:
End of Life
QlikView 11.20 has reached End of Life. At the least, we would need to request that the latest available service release of QlikView 11.20 will be used to upgrade the system after a rollback.
QVPR
The QlikView Reposisitory (QVPR) cannot be downgraded. 11.20 cannot use the upgraded version of the QVPR.
A backup of the QVPR will be required to proceed. See
How To: Restore QVPR From BackupAny changes made to the system in the Management Console will be lost.
Service Settings
Some settings files have received new settings in 12.x. These settings files are not always replaced. Backups of these must be available from your previous version. See
Backup and upgrade preperation on our online Help. If this was followed, all necessary data will be available.
User Objects and Bookmarks
We cannot guarantee that shared objects will be maintained. A backup of the previous files may need to be necessary. At the least, if the .SHARED files have been converted to .TSHARED, they will need to be converted back. See
How to convert between different QlikView shared file formats
