Cannot Allocate Tokens to Users because the button is grayed out

Navigating via Qlik Management Console (QMC) to License and Tokens (or License Management) -> Site license properties -> User access allocations, the +Allocate button is seen grayed out.

Environment:

• Qlik Sense Enterprise Februrary 2018 and older
• Qlik Sense Enterprise April 2018 and newer

Incorrect Qlik Sense server version installed or incorrect licensing model included in the obtained Qlik Sense product license key.

Navigate via Qlik Management Console (QMC) to License and Tokens (or License Management) -> Site license properties

Expand the >LEF access field

If the string TOKENS; does not have a number following it, this is the problem.

If the above is not seen and the string IGNORE_TOKENS;YES; is seen instead, then the license model is Professional/Analyzer and not tokens. Qlik Sense Enterprise April 2018 or newer needs to be installed instead of the current version.

Otherwise, if installing a newer version is not desired, contact the account manager and tell them the license was provided without Tokens or you require a license for Token licensing model as Qlik Sense Februrary 2018 and older does not support Professional/Analyzer licensing model.
