Qlik Sense - Auto sort not sorting alphabetically for master item dimension

In Qlik Sense after creating a charts and adding a master dimension containing alphabetical character, the auto sort does not sort correctly even though you made sure that the sort order is properly set. 

If you disable Auto sort and then and force it to be sorted Alphabetically, it works.

Qlik Sense September 2017 / Qlik Sense November 2017 /  Qlik Sense February 2017

This has been identified as a defect. The reason has to do with the way the master item dimension has been created.
The reason is that when you create a master item dimension, if you write down the field name, the master dimension will not be tagged and the engine won't be able to sort it. It will basically display the order in which those values were loaded. 

There are two workarounds to resolve this issue:

• Disable Auto sort and then and force it to be sorted Alphabetically but you will need to do that every time you use this master item dimension.
• Re-create the Master Item Dimension but instead of writing down the field name you can simply double click on the field from the panel on the left. In this case the sorting will work. 

We currently don't have information if this defect will be resolved and when.
