Join UsIn an ODBC connection to Hortonworks the "create select statement" cannot be used as it is most probably timing out.
At this scenario there are more than 7000 different schema which would take over 20 minutes to load and the GUI timeout for Qlik Sense is around 10 minutes.
It works fine in QlikView as Qlik View loads the tables from one owner (schema), while the same GUI in Qlik Sense loads ALL tables from ALL schema.
R&D accepts the fact that Qlik Sence needs a new adopted behavior for Hortonworks Hive ODBC driver on how to fetch owners by executing SQLTables("", "%", "", ""). But it is also important that to keep the current Qlik Sense behavior for other drivers.
R&D has also confirmed that Hortonworks ODBC driver for HIVE starts fetching names of owners and all tables when SQLTables("HIVE", "", "", "") is executed (this is the reported problem), but the driver queries only for names of owners when SQLTables("", "%", "", "") is executed. But at the same time there is an advantage of executing SQLTables(<DatabaseName>, "", "", "") towards ODBC driver for SQL Server as it fetches owners for the selected database. If SQLTables("", "%", "", "") is executed then the owners for a default data base are always returned.
