After an upgrade or system changes, the QlikView license is shown as blank in the QlikView Management Console and can no longer be applied correctly. The AccessPoint shows No Server.
Attempting to replace the current license or add a new seems to succeed, but any QlikView Server Service restarts clear the license again. The Management Console lists the QlikView Server as "Unlicensed"
Verifying permissions on QlikView files showed that the settings.ini did not allow the Service Account full control. Environment:
- QlikView 12.20 / QlikView November 2017 and up
- QlikView 12.10
- QlikView 11.20
When applying license in the QlikView management Console, the information is saved in the "Settings.ini" file in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer If the file cannot be updated, the server is unable to obtain its license information after restarting.
Wrong NTFS permissions at C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer, where "settings.ini" and ".PGO" files are stored.
