The purpose of this article is inform users how to verify their registration for a Qlik account using the SMS Authentication option.
- In order to register for a Qlik account, you will first need to access the registration page. Once you access the registration page, you will see two options for account authentication, one via Email (which is automatically checked and cannot be unchecked) and one for SMS Text authentication. You will have to manually check the box next to the "Send My Activation Code to" option to receive an activation code. 2. In order to receive the SMS Authentication text option, you will need to enter a valid cell phone number and select the correct county where the phone number is registered. Once your phone number and country fields are filled out, the phone number and country code will automatically fill in after the "Send My Activation Code to" checkbox.
**Please note that the phone number should be entered with no characters or spacing. It should look like 1234567890 not 123-456-7890 or (123) 456 7890
3. Once all your personal account information is entered correctly and the SMS Activation, Terms and Conditions, and Capthca boxes are checked, you will be able to submit your registration by selecting the "Register" button at the bottom of the page.
4. After selecting the "Register" button, you will be taken to a new web page where you can enter the 6 Digit Verification Code that is sent to the phone number provided in your registration form. The number you provided is listed on this page to verify if the phone number is correct. If you do not receive the verification code, you have the option to re-send the code. If the code does not come through or you entered the incorrect phone number, you will be instructed to contact Customer Support
to request assistance in the account registration process.
5. Once the Activation Code is received via text message, please input the 6 digit you received into the Activation Code box and select Activate.
6. After selecting the "Activate" you will be directed back to the Qlik.com home page. If your registration was successful, then you should see the "Welcome" prompt when hovering over the "Account" tab on the top right portion of the Qlik.com homepage.
