It may be necessary for a QlikView Server administrator to analyze the QlikView Repository (QVPR) database or collect it to provide to Qlik Support. By default, the QVPR is stored on the server running the QlikView Management Service in the directory %ProgramData%\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR. Note that it is not best practice to analyze or inspect a live QVPR instance.
To collect the QVPR:
- Stop the QlikView Management Service
- In Windows File Explorer navigate to %ProgramData%\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR (or to custom location if configured)
- Highlight all contents, except for the Backups directory, and copy to the desired folder
- Start the QlikView Management Service
If you are going to provide the QVPR to Qlik Support, please zip up the folder before attaching it to the support case.
