Will Qlik Sense generate logs into log folders after enabliing Centralized Logging?Environment:
Qlik Sense September 2017 and up
Qlik Sense continues to write log files to disk after enabling centralized logging.
It will generate all new logs in the new PostgreSQL database instance, as well as continuing to generate logs into the active Log folder (C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log) and the Archived Log folder in shared location.
Should this not be the case, the Logging Service may have been set up to disable file logging. See Qlik Sense - No Physical Log files are generated
Note: Upon centralized logging being setup (if enabled during an upgrade), old logs will not be moved into the new centralized database instance. Old logs will remain in the Log folder on the file system, and all new logs will be generated in both the Log folder as well as within the new PostgreSQL database instance.
It is not possible to move/convert existing .log files into the PostgreSQL database.
We do not recommend disabling file logging at this point.
