QlikView Plugin is not available in the Access Point after upgrade from IE 9 to IE 11

You've upgraded from IE 9 to IE 11, the QlikView plugin is installed, but it is not available as an option when selecting a document from the Access Point.
You confirm the plugin is installed and it is also possible to run it using the plugin by modifying the end of the document URL to read client=Plugin instead of client=Ajax

This confirms the IE plugin is actually working, but the Access Point document is just not showing you the option.

Some incompatible code within this accesspoint.js file and later versions of Internet Explorer ( IE 11 in this example).
It has probably been customised in the past so you should proceed with caution if replacing it with a standard copy of this file.

It is possible your current accesspoint.js file contains some incompatibilities with IE11. It may have been modified/customised by your QlikView System administrator so please proceed with caution.
The default location of this file is: C:\Program Files\QlikView\Web\js\accessPoint.js

• You should first confirm if there have been any known changes to this file.
• Try to test if your issue is related to this file by replacing accesspoint.js with a standard/original copy of this file from a test environment or clean installation of QlikView Server..
• Alternatively try replacing your accesspoint.js on your test system with the accesspoint.js  from your live system. See if you can reproduce the same issue with the plugin option there.
• This will help you determine if the content of this file is responsible for this problem.
