Problem calling Sense apps apps with the embedded Microsoft BrowserControl in our application

Since the update of the QlikSenseServer to Sept 2017 there is a problem calling apps with the embedded Microsoft BrowserControl in our application, while the native call from the browser works fine. The error can be easily reproduced. When opening Sense with the MS Embedded browser component you will see an on demand error, even if ODAC is disabled. This is due to that the component renders as IE7 in standard mode, no matter what Meta tag is set on the current website.

The embedded component is rendering in IE7 mode per default.

You need to add a regkey to set the IE mode correct for the application using the embedded component.

Add a Value DWORD (32bit) Name of the Key should match the EXE file of your application. In the attached Demo key its named it Customapp.exe.

10001 (0x2711)	Internet Explorer 10. Webpages are displayed in IE10 Standards mode, regardless of the !DOCTYPE directive.
